Just like your car, your trailer requires servicing once a year, or every 10,000km travelled.
With a highly detailed approach and quality parts (that I always keep in my mobile van), I will keep your trailer handling well and with maximum load-carrying ability.
My comprehensive trailer servicing includes an assessment of the following:
Servicing your trailer is important. But sometimes an upgrade makes more sense.
So if you’ve got an old, tired trailer, I can transform it into one that feels brand new. By replacing its brakes, suspension and/or axle, I can have it functioning to its highest capacity once again. I can also install trailer accessories such as LED lights and perform general welding repairs.
As a maintenance specialist, I know how to bring new life to your trailer.
By their very nature, boat trailers are continually submerged in water. This can cause rust and seizing – highlighting the importance of regular servicing.
Your boat trailer’s bearing seals also need to be maintained to avoid water and dirt penetration.
And in the case of your trailer detaching from the towing vehicle? You need a reliable breakaway system. Many of these systems require an AL-KO iQ7 electric air hydraulic actuator – or a Dexter electric/hydraulic system. Luckily for you, I can install both of these. I can also service or repair the electrical circuits and perform hydraulic pressure tests.
My specialist boat trailer servicing and quality parts will keep your trailer in its best possible condition – letting you transport your boat to and from the water without fear of breakdown or breakaway.
If your business relies on plant or works trailers day in, day out, the last thing you want is sudden breakdowns that result in lost staff productivity.
That’s where my mobile trailer maintenance comes in. I’ll visit your site to service your trailers regularly – while ensuring they meet WorkSafe standards. And that’s especially convenient when it comes to large fleets!
Some of my clients include Parks Victoria, DELWP and various schools in the South East and Mornington Peninsula regions. And I help all types of tradespeople too – from plumbers and landscapers to gardeners and tree loppers. I even service bobcat and excavator trailers.
Transporting your horse is no easy task – even at the best of times. That’s why you can’t overlook the importance of having a horse float you can rely on.
With my specialist maintenance service, your horse float will always be ready to go. And if you find yourself stuck on the road with a broken-down trailer? I’ll make the trip to get it back up and running again.
My horse float repairs include:
‘Thanks heaps, Tim! Your work is awesome, you are very helpful and know exactly how to fix any brake issue. I’d highly recommend your work to anyone.’
‘Couldn't have been happier. Great guy, very professional and friendly. A really good service.’
‘I engaged Stopfast for a problem with the Brembo system on my 2015 XR8 after a failed diagnosis by my Ford dealer.
Tim diagnosed the problem promptly and fixed it without fuss. It’s fair to say the service I received was excellent.’
‘Tim looked after my boat trailer with new brakes and a service. His knowledge of his trade is extensive. His prices are not over-the-top and I'll happily use Stopfast for many years to come.
I passed on Tim's contact details to the primary school where my children attend for some trailer repairs and servicing. The price again was excellent and the school is more than happy to have Tim back again too.’
‘Tim has just finished installing a Webasto diesel heating system in our new caravan and we are very pleased with the neat, tidy and well-performed work. Over some years now, Tim has looked after a number of vans we have owned and apart from brake and bearing maintenance, he has installed a Dexter Sway Control system, an electric jack, changes to various towing hitches and more.
We regard Tim as a reliable and skilful person whose work is thorough and careful. We highly recommend Tim and Stopfast.’
‘Stopfast was recommended to us by a fellow caravaner. So we travelled from Albury to Mornington for a bearings and brake service. Tim was very courteous and did a tremendous job. He will be working on our caravan in the future. l can highly recommend Stopfast – rarely in the industry do you meet a person as genuine as Tim...👍.’
‘Tim was really efficient and knowledgeable. He has a fantastic service and is a nice fellow.’
‘Tim has serviced our Kimberley Kamper trailer now for two years. After some earlier bad experiences with other mechanics, it's reassuring to have an excellent mechanic that I fully trust. As well as doing a great job on routine maintenance tasks like brakes and bearings, he is versatile and has done an excellent job in the installation of a Dexter electric hydraulic system and Webasto diesel heater. His mobile business is also very convenient. The range of tools and spare parts he has on-hand amazes me. A good communicator and always reliable with dates and times.’
